Apple is likely to introduce the new 2017 edition of the iPhone SE with a new camera at the upcoming World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) on May 5. June.

According to leaked pictures in China, the new iPhone SE will come in a glass case, which could mean that Apple can get rid of the metal case in favor of glass in the next device. The iPhone 8 is also intended to come with a glass back panel. There are two vertically aligned holes for the main camera and the LED flash.

The picture also shows that the bowl is made of Ion-X glass, the same material used to make the Apple Watch Sports.

The Apple iPhone SE runs on an A9 chip designed in a 64-bit architecture and is equipped with an M9 motion co-processor.

In terms of specifications, the Apple iPhone SE is equipped with a 4-inch screen and weighs only 113 grams. It is 0.3 inches thick, 4.87 inches wide and 2.31 inches high. The LED-backlit display has a resolution of 1136×640 pixels, resulting in an image density of 326 pixels per inch.

The Apple iPhone SE runs on an A9 chip designed in a 64-bit architecture and is equipped with an M9 motion co-processor. It is equipped with a 12 megapixel iSight rear view camera with 1.22 Vµ pixels, autofocus, panorama mode (can produce images up to 63 MP), f/2.2 aperture, five-element lens, hybrid IR filter, automatic image stabilization, geo-tagging, noise reduction and face detection. This camera can record 4K video as well as Full HD and HD video. What’s more, the iPhone SE can record slow-motion video in Full HD at 120 frames per second and HD video at 240 frames per second.

For self-service and video calling, the Apple iPhone SE has a 1.2 megapixel front camera that can record HD video. It has f/2.4 aperture, backlight sensor, serial mode, timer, automatic reflectometer, exposure control and face detection functions.

The Apple iPhone SE also has an integrated fingerprint sensor in the Home button. The iPhone SE is equipped with NFC technology, Bluetooth 4.2 and WiFi (a/b/g/n/ac). It is equipped with GPS with GLONASS, digital compass and LTE with VoLTE.

Apple is expected to shed light on new versions of iOS, macOS and Smart Directors based on Siri during the conference.
